Thanks, Pamungkas!

Indonesian Legendary Striker Finally Retire From National Team.

Bambang Pamungkas who usually called as Bepe was retired from Indonesia National Team after 13 years played for Indonesia. Bepe who already collect 98 caps and 44 goals for Indonesia told us that he set to retire from and he announced it on Twitter (@bepe20) and his website.

Why I choose to write this article? Maybe this is a little bit out of topic. Maybe my blog reader at USA or Germany and Korea did not know who is Bambang Pamungkas. Yeah, he is Indonesian legendary striker. If in USA you have Landon Donovan, and in South Korea you have legend like Park Ji Sung, or Beckenbauer at Germany, in Indonesia we have Bepe.

Bepe end his career in AFF CUP 2012, he joins Indonesia squad and play in 3 matches but not make a single goal. Maybe it is the worse AFF cup he ever played.

The unique thing is usually Bepe use “Bambang” as a name on his jersey but at AFF CUP 2012, he used “ Pamungkas” on that jersey. “Pamungkas” in Indonesian Language (Bahasa) means “The Last”. So the AFF CUP is the last competition, the last contribution from him, and until now except his 44 goals, Bepe still not give any single prestigious title for Indonesia. He retired as a failed generation, but remain as a legend.

Thanks For The Memories, Legend.
