The Race Still on for City

Manchester City skipper Vincent Kompany was amongst the scorers as the Blues recorded their biggest Premier League win since November, 4-0 against Newcastle.

City did a good respond after Manchester United lead by 18 points clear in 15 minutes and they make sure that the race title is still on. Newcastle as a life lines for City tonight. They can’t revenge the lost 1-3 at home last year.

The liveliest the home fans got was with Newcastle goalkeeper Rob Elliot, who from a ridiculously early point was dragging out every dead ball and free-kick he was asked to take.

As it turned out, the game clicked into gear thanks to a rare visitors' attack. Vurnon Anita dropped a superb crossfield pass perfectly into the path of Papiss Cisse, whose first-time effort was well saved at his near post by Joe Hart.

Crucially though, City had built up some momentum. And when Gael Clichy squeezed a cross through to the far post, Tevez slid in to turn it home. This his 17^th goals of the season.

Clichy brought an outstanding save out of Elliot, as did Edin Dzeko, before an intricate bit of passing from Yaya Toure and Samir Nasri offered Silva the chance to reach the corner of the six-yard box, where he buried his shot with some aplomb. And the host lead by 2-0.

The Toon Army still cannot wake up from their bad dreams after Kompany scored City 3^rd goals tonight. Looks like the game already end? No! Because James Perch made goal..for City after he deflected the shoot from Yaya Toure.

EPL: Sunderland 0-1 Manchester United Highlights

Single Goal, 3 Points Again.

United made a sweet revenge after kick Sunderland 0-1 on EPL matchday 30. Although City win too by 4-0 after Newcastle , but the gap still 15 points.

United won the game by an own goal from Titus Bramble following Van Persie’s shoot.

Fergie show his 2^nd team line up Buttner and Anderson who played impressive enough, especially Buttner, he threatened the Sunderland defense with dribbling and many shoots outside the box.

At the 1^st half, Sunderland cannot improve their game, United hold the possession by 60%-40%. But, United still can’t open the deadlock because of Sunderland good enough on defence.

Sunderland responded the game after United lead by one goal, at second half they keep the possession with 53%-47%, United just can play the counter attack. Yeah, even United can’t improve their game, but they still have a many chance to kill the game before ends, unfortunately they just can’t made Mignolet put the ball for the 2^nd time.

At the last minute of injury time, RvP almost kill the game for Sunderland after Young’s crosses meet him, but Simon Mignolet cool enough to save the ball.

And United still maintain the 1^st position with 15 points gap for Manchester City.

PSG Director, Leonardo Propose his TV Presenter Girlfriend Live From Champions League Draw.

Sweet moment comes from Champions League quarterfinal draw in Nyon, Switzerland, PSG director of football Leonardo conducted an interview with Sky Italia to discuss his side match-up against Barcelona. Leonardo had a bit of a surprise planned though, and during the interview, he asked his girlfriend, Sky Italia presenter Anna Billo, to marry him.

But the question still caught Billo off guard in the Sky Italia studio. Leonardo was prompted by being asked if he had any questions of his own, to which he replied, "Anna, will you marry me?"
Billo broke out in nervous laughter and tried to hurry along, saying, "What kind of question is that? OK. Let's move on." Leo then asked if that was a yes and she replied, "OK, yes! We'll talk at home, thank you."
"But is that a yes or no?" asked one of the in-studio pundits. "OK," she said again”.
"Alright then, let's have a ceremony in Milan and Brazil," former Milan player and Brazil international Leonardo suggested. Finally, the interview ended and Billo concluded by laughing and saying, "It's crazy."

End of Michael Owen

End of The Story for Michael Owen.

No press conference, no much talking, no camera, just a website and a statement in micro blogging Twitter, Michael James Owen told us that he set to retire at the end of season 2012/2013. Starts from Liverpool, end at Stoke City.

“Big day today. I have decided that this will be my last season as a professional footballer” said Owen in his Twitter account.

Owen, with his condition now, is the best striker that England ever had. In his career, Owen already made 222 goals from 480 matches. In Premier League he put his name in position 7 with 150 goals.

Different with other England player like Rooney or Lampard, Owen’s career in England is bright enough. He made 40 goals from his 89 appearances. This milestones make him in 4^th position behind Bobby Charlton, Gary Lineker and Jimmy Greaves. If you remembered, Owen was the only one English player who get Ballon D’or, and it happened in 2001. Rooney, Gerrard, Lampard, Never!

With Stoke City, his 5^th club in his life. Owen’s career still not consistent, in this time he only played for 64 minutes. Just (not) believe 64 mins as a substitute and produced one goal. Since he left Liverpool on 2004 his midas touch never ever getting back again. In Real Madrid he is a 3^rd choice behind Raul-Ronaldo. But he still did well to made 13 goals from 45 matches many of them as a substitutes. He just survive one year in Los Blancos and then Owen continue his journey back to England and play with Newcastle United.

His performance looks like will be back like when he played in Liverpool but a metatarsal injury made he must going to in a long time therapy (18 months). After that, Owen can’t play like yesterday. With Newcastle, he got many injury like a storm. The chapter in Newcastle end when Newcastle must relegate to division one and Owen transferred to Manchester United by free and just played 6 games from 3 years with United, he still get EPL and Carling Cup’s trophy.

4^th September 2012, Owen joined Stoke City and made a debut when Stoke versus Manchester City. His first ever goal came when Stoke lost from Swansea 3-1, that’s his goal until today.

What Gerard Houlier said about Owen “He almost always made 1 goal in 2 matches, it is a gift to have him in team.”

The Reasons Why Manchester United Will Win The EPL.

City lost from Everton and United beat Reading in Old Trafford in matchday 28. What we see is Manchester United wouldn’t let the same disaster happened again like last year. When they lead by 8 points from City and slipped at the end race. Why we sure that United will get their 20^th trophy? Here..

• Consistent.

United play consistent. Maybe they not always play well in every match, but, when they play bad they can win too. Otherwise, Manchester City couldn’t did like their neighbor. The example is, you can see when United win 1-0 over Reading. They not play good, but they keep 3 points. Meanwhile, City lost 2-0 from Everton who played with 10 mens since 30 minutes before ends.

• Robin van Persie.

Denied or not, this guy is really the best transfer deal by Fergie this season. Until now, he already made 24 goals and 8 assist in all competition. 19 in EPL, 3 in UCL, 1 in FA Cup. With Rooney, Chicarito and Welbeck, this quartet will make any defender afraid.

• Deep Squad

Let we see United’s second team player. There are Chicarito, Welbeck, Jones, Anderson, Fletcher, Nani, Smalling, Buttner, etc. If we see the goal ratio, Chicarito lead now by 16 goals in 24 games for United. He even better in goal ratio than Rooney. See how many goals he made when United need him for a super sub, many goals. Jones? He is a big great player, he can play as Defensive Midfielder or Centre Back, same like Smalling. United have many multi function players.

• David de Gea

No doubt he is the best keeper United had in last two season. Lindegaard is good, but not the best. How many saves or acrobatic saves De Gea made? Many! You can see his best performance when United face Real Madrid at Bernabue. He also made 4 clean sheet in a row, although his first round United get many conceded goals. But, we can say “The defence is really awful”.

• Manchester City.

United fans must be thankful to City if United win EPL this season.  Remember, United became arrogant since they win the 19^th title, they put a word “relentless” inside his last season jersey. And City make United down to the Earth again in the end of the season.

And now, EPL just had 8 matches left. The only reason United can’t get their 20^th trophy is themselves. Let we see, how United ends English Premier League season 2012/2013.

The Best League in Europe?

Since 1996, English Premier League always have minimum one team in 8^th round of Champions League.

Manchester United won the “Big Ear” two times in 1998/1999 and 2007/2008, as a runner up in 2008/2009 and 2010/2011. Chelsea won UCL in 2011/2012 and as a runner up in 2007/2008. Even Arsenal have ever been try the final stage in 2005/2006. Also Liverpool in 2004/2005 with a dramatic final versus AC Milan. Now, they already not in UCL 2012/2013. We will review English Team performance in UCL 2012/2013.

Manchester City.

King of England, they said. After a heartbroken in last season, they comeback again as an EPL winner. They are placed again in group of hell with Borrusia Dortmund, Real Madrid, and Ajax Amsterdam. They even can’t make a single win, and drown in the bottom position below Ajax. What the title for City this season? The first champion of England who out from UCL without any single win.

Manchester United

A runner up of EPL last season. United is really lucky enough in group with Galatasaray, CFR Cluj, and SC Braga. United put their name on top of the group (as people prediction). In 16^th round they meet Real Madrid who fail to become a number one in group. After hold Madrid 1-1 in 1^st leg, United just anticlimax in 2^nd leg at Old Trafford and must lost by 3-2 in aggregate. Still, some of their fans can’t believe that United lost and still blame Cuneyt Cakir who punish Nani with red card.

Chelsea

Join with Champion of Serie A, Juventus. Plus Shakhtar Donetsk and Nordsjaelland, Chelsea as a champion of Europe play like a newbie in Europe. We just confuse which one is newbie in this group, Chelsea or Nordsjaelland. Chelsea drop into 3^rd position and going to Europa League, still better than Champion of England. Chelsea make a record too, the first champion of Europe who can’t pass the group.

Arsenal

Not even better than Manchester United. Arsenal not so lucky to face Bayern Munich in 16^th round. But, credit point must be give to them, they can beat Munich in Allianz Arena by 2-0, although that’s not enough.

The question is..can English team make a good effort in next season? Till now, we just see Manchester United the only team that can make some stunning performance. Let see..
